Inspection Says “Some Evidence of Settling”? – Foundation Repair Tip of the Day #193

Happy Friday!!!
Oftentimes, homeowners reach out to our team after having a home inspection performed and receiving a report from the inspector stating “Some evidence of settling”…. Now what does that mean???

In today’s #FoundationRepair #TipOfTheDay Brian answers that along with a couple of other things that usually come up during a regular home inspection.

Typically, when an inspector writes something about settling or the foundation its in VERY broad, or general, terms. This is because they don’t have the education or experience needed to accurately diagnose foundation issues. We’ve seen reports that suggest evidence of settling where there’s no issue with the foundation whatsoever, but we’ve also seen reports suggestion evidence of settling where there’s over $30,000 worth of repairs!

So, if you hear the words Some Evidence of Settling, call out a foundation repair specialist (who offers free inspections🙋🏼‍♂️) and they’ll be able provide you with a more in depth inspection of your foundation!
