Take a brief look at some of the steps that went into installing galvanized steel push piers in order to repair this La Habra home’s settling foundation.

This home was facing signs of a settling foundation in La Habra, California. You’ll also get a quick glimpse at some of the steps involved in repairing a foundation. Mr. Pistole’s home measured over 3.5 inches of elevation drop, and his foundation was in dire need of repair. One of our knowledgable Project Specialists, Brett Woodall, performed an inspection and created a repair plan that consisted of eleven galvanized steel push piers. The steel push piers would be installed along the settling corner of the home, and driven down to load bearing stratum or bedrock. Once the piers were driven, we would transfer the weight resting on the home’s foundation from the soils below the foundation directly to the galvanized steel push piers. The transferring of weight will prevent any future movement from the expansive soils below the home.
