Have you ever wondered how we lift concrete slabs with polyurethane foam?
In today’s #FoundationRepair #TipOfTheDay Brian discusses the process in which we lift or level concrete slabs using polyurethane foam. We start off drilling out a 5/8″ hole in the soil or concrete so that a port can be inserted. Once the gun is attached we can begin injecting the material. Once the foam makes contact with the soil it begins expanding, densifying, and compacting the soils. As the soil becomes compacted there’s no place for the foam to expand but up! Once the slab begins lifting we monitor it and measure its movement until the slab is is level and the trip hazards are gone!
