What Makes a Foundation Bad? part 2- Foundation Repair Tip of the Day #142

Good Morning and Happy Thursday!
Yesterday Brian introduced a bad foundations and things homeowners should look for in vertical footing cracks.
In today’s #FoundationRepair #TipOfTheDay Brian is back to discuss bad foundations and this time he dives into horizontal footing cracks, which are very common out here in Southern California! As a homeowner, if you see a horizontal crack that is running parallel with the footing it is more than likely caused by moisture reaching the rebar embedded in the concrete allowing it to rust and expand! These aren’t always structurally compromising, but they definitely need to be addressed before they become compromising to a home’s foundation.
